Baby2Baby Gala Raises $4 Million!
The sixth annual Baby2Baby Gala happened earlier this week over in Culver City, and what a beautiful black-tie affair it was! They raised nearly $4 million dollars!!!, and honored Gwyneth Paltrow with the Giving Tree Award for her efforts advocating for low-income children.
If you haven't heard of Baby2Baby before, it's a cause that is near and dear to my heart. Their mission is to provide low-income children (ages 0-12) with diapers, clothing, and the basic necessities every child deserves.
It breaks my heart to know that in my own backyard, there are children that don't have basic necessities like diapers, clothing, shoes, and socks. I'm so thankful for the work Baby2Baby is doing to provide everyday needs to these children.
Baby2Baby is championed by famous celebrity mamas like board members Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie, and Rachel Zoe and angels and ambassadors like Drew Barrymore, Kristen Bell, Selma Blair, and Kate Hudson.
Over the years, Baby2Baby has distributed nearly 35 million items—including books, clothing, cribs, and diapers to families in need.
This year, Land of Mom is participating in the Baby2Baby Family2Family holiday wish list program. We've adopted two children to help make their holiday wishes come true. If you're interested in participating, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
If you're unable to donate gifts or money, there are still ways to get involved: Baby2Baby Get Involved. I know quite a few mamas with a garage full of old baby gear in great condition. Baby2Baby has drop-off locations all around Los Angeles where you can donate your used baby and child gear. Click here to find a location near you.
Let's do what we can to help families and children in need this holiday season and beyond! xo
