This week, I'm excited to be talking to Elle Rowley, mama to Lucy, Solomon, Frances, and Hazel (9, 7, 4 & 1) and owner of Solly Baby - a baby wrap carrier company focused on meeting both mama’s and baby’s needs when it comes to babywearing.

Elle had always admired the idea of babywearing and when her first baby Lucy was born she tried it out, but it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. Elle felt like more of a pack horse than a mama bonding with her new baby.

When she had baby number two, Solomon, Elle tried babywearing again… but this time instead of purchasing a wrap, she made her own. Elle wanted something comfortable that would meet both of their needs. It was then that Solly Baby was born.

We believe our infant wraps bring you closer to your little one, physically and emotionally, while simultaneously giving you the freedom and comfort to take on daily life.

Such a great story of innovation being born from necessity! Anything that makes being a mom easier gets an A+ from me.

Elle is excited to announce that Solly Baby will be releasing their fall/winter line this month!

Go With the Flow

Elle’s view on work-life balance is unique, but it works for her and her family. Some weeks she feels like she needs to work more in her business and other times she feels that she can take a step back from work and spend more quality time with her little ones.

It ebbs and flows and, try as I might, it doesn’t come from a formula on my calendar, it comes from checking in with what’s needed around me and what I need as well.

Elle is all about trusting the process as a mama and allowing herself to evolve and transition without shame or hurry. Such a great piece of advice for all mamas out there trying to find their flow after having their babies.

Life After Baby

Elle’s experience as a new mama was so much sweeter than she imagined, but so much harder too, Elle learned that listening to other mama’s experiences is helpful, but in the end, you need to trust your gut and make your own decisions.

You are your baby’s mama for a reason!

One of Elle’s favorite things about being a mama is to watch her children learn new things because she also learns new things because of them.

One of the more difficult things about being a mama for Elle is falling into the trap that it’s her job to make everyone happy. She said not only is it impossible, but everyone is responsible for their own happiness. Thanks for keepin’ it real mama!

Elle’s business pushes her to be brave, to be kind and to show her little ones that the sky's the limit.

A Way to Give Back

Solly Baby works with Every Mother Counts, an organization created to improve global maternal health and she is dedicated to helping spread the word and giving back financially.
