#MomBossMonday Confessions: How I REALLY Exercise as a Mompreneur
Remember back in April when I shared all my tips and goals for getting in safe exercise as a newly postpartum mama? I was going to use a belly band, baby-wear Max all the time, go for lots of walks, and even try to exercise with my baby some. This was my plan… but I need to be real with you… I haven’t done shit.
How I’m really exercising
I walk here and there while running errands and taking my older boys to their summertime activities, and I baby-wear Max when I need to, but other than that I’ve just realized I don’t have the time I thought I would have! Oh, and that belly band I should be wearing? Haven’t touched it.
Max is almost two months old now, and I’ve been cleared by my doctor for normal exercise, but just last week was the first time I went on a jog with my toddlers while hubby watched little Max. It was so nice to get outside and get moving on such a beautiful day at the Rose Bowl, and it made me wonder why I didn’t do this sooner. Then I remembered: mom bosses don’t have a second to even think about exercising!
The Mom Boss Schedule
First priority as a mompreneur is MOM. My kids are always my number one priority, so I need to make sure they’re covered at all times, whether that’s with me, at school, napping, or with a nanny. Any time they’re good and I have a minute to myself, I need to focus on my number two priority: ENTREPRENEUR. With my time so divided between being a mom and being an entrepreneur, I just feel like I don’t have time for exercise! Can you relate, mom bosses?
How do you do it?
I know all the safe exercises and methods of getting a workout when newly postpartum, but I’d love to hear from you mompreneurs on how you find the time to do it. Beyond the exercise you get running after and picking up little ones, when do you work in the time to workout with babes in the home? I’m considering hiring a personal trainer who can come to my home…
